Palazzo Grassi
...from the owner family name, the Grassi family, which commissioned the building in 1748 to architect Giorgio Massari, he ended the opera in 1772.
From the 1840 (that year the last heirs of Grassi family sold the palace) until today the palace
Had many owners and as well several restorations by “ Sovùcietà Veneta di Spirione Papadopuli, The Greek Baron Simone di Sina, the Swiss businessman Giovanni Stucky and the Venetian Vittorio Cini. In 1983 it was acquired by Fiat and lately in 2005 the actual owner becomes the French Francois Pinault.
Since the 80’ s the Palace is one of the most important exhibitions centre in Europe and it still host successful exibithions.
