San Sebastiano Church

...it is not so famous like other arts.
Planned by Antonio Abbondi on 1506, it was completed on 1548 replacing an old hospice from 1300, turned in a church during 1468.
Its Renaissance facade, huge but at the same time really simple on its style, it is the entrance to the marvellous wall paintings of Veronese, realized between 1555 and 1565, who decorated the nave, the frieze, choir, the main altar and the presbytery. The artist were buried inside the church.
Maybe its position, maybe the less importance given by travel guides, make this area of the city still one of the most local, in which you can breathe the real atmosphere, lost in other part of the city.
