The La Fenice Theatre

...resurrected from its ashes The Phoenix, the theatre burned down several times throughout the centuries (last time in 1996) and always rebuilt as it was.
The works of the first building started in 1790 and ended quickly in 1792, works were carried on by Gian Antonio Selva whom in 1828 directed the works to build the honour box wanted by Napoleon.
After the fire in 1836 the theatre was rebuild as the original building, the same happened after the fire in 1996 when the works were strongly wanted by the whole population, the witty was where it was as it was.
Since 2003 year of the inauguration the theatre host important lyric concert and contemporary music festivals.
